The Largest Road-Going Armoured Event in the World
16 years on from the first back in 2010, Armour & Embarkation has become one of the “must see” events in the military hobby calendar. A convoy over a mile long filled with Shermans, light tanks, tank destroyers, heavy, medium, and light trucks, as well as dozens of motorbikes, snakes its way through Dorset, paying tribute to the original path soldiers took during the embarkation for D-Day in 1944.

Road Runs
Friday Night “Operation Chippy Run”
After various school visits during the day, Friday night is the time for the soft skins to shine. We take a trip down to Weymouth seafront in wheeled vehicles to wine and dine on some fish and chips!
Saturday Main Convoy
The main convoy takes place on the Saturday, with all available vehicles, including armour, lining up and departing from Broadmayne, visiting numerous interesting spots in the area before parking up outside Brewery Sq, Dorchester for two hours. make sure you come and say hi!.
Sunday Off-Road
After an intense day on road the day before, Sunday is a time for drivers to have fun, as the convoy instead traverses across private land and the lanes and heads to Martinstown for lunch. It is a great place to see the convoy up close.
“Seeing the convoy come into Dorchester, greeted by over 10,000 people, was incredible”
